[일상] 오랜만에 보는 입춘대길,

어제 종로구 부암동에 놀러 갔다가, 입춘대길이라고 쓰여진 대문을 발견했다.

저런 것을 춘축이라고 했던가?
어릴적에 내가 살던 고향집 앞에도 붙였던 입춘대길-건양다경(建陽多慶)이 떠올랐다.
물론 몇번 되지 않았다. 80년대가 마지막이 아니었을까?

순간 이런 생각들이 스쳐 지나갔다.

1> 종로구 부암동이란 참으로 시간이 느리게 가는 동네구나
2> 현재 대한민국의 일반 가정집 대문에 춘축은 커녕 그 흔한 명패 조차 찾아보기 힘들다
4> 왜 한국에서는 춘축이 사라졌을까?

그리고 중국의 아파트 문화를 떠올렸다.

중국에는 아직도 아파트 입구 주위를 저런 식으로 치장하는 집이 적지 않다.
몽골이나 티벳을 가보면 역시 대문에 푸른 천을 걸어 놓고 복을 기원한다.
복(福)이라는 것이 드나드는 곳이 역시 문이기 때문에, 그를 환영하는 것이다.

2009년 3월 요녕성 단동시에서 촬영한 일반 아파트 가정집 입구의 표정. 한국과 전혀 상반되게 어떤 표정과 색깔이 있음을 알아챌 수 있다.

복을 비는 기복행위가 사라졌기에 근대화 되고 문명화 됐다고 해야 할까?
아니면 우리는 대문을 단지 기능적이고 실용적인 요소로만 생각하기 시작한 것일까?

봄이 되니 아파트 입구에라도 '입춘대길'을 써 놓은 집을 발견하고 싶다.
