[일상] 성인이 된 뒤 처음해보는 직쏘퍼즐

직소퍼즐, 직쏘퍼즐, 지그소우퍼즐...jigsaw puzzle
많이 들어본 퍼즐이긴 한데 지금까지 내가 갖고 있던 인상은,
"왜 귀한 시간에 이런 놀이를 해야 하지?"에 가까왔다.

우연하게 선물로 받아든 500피스 직쏘퍼즐.
처녀자리 별자리 야광이란 말에 혹했고, 더불어 딸려온 액자에 홀려 주말에 퍼즐을 시작하다.

어릴적에 흔히 해보던 그림 맞추기라고 생각했는데, 막상 개봉하고 보니 500피스만 돼도
이건 흡사 중노동에 해당되는 어려운 게임이었다.

일단 조각 하나하나에서 어떤 형체를 알아내기 힘들었다.
때문에 색깔에 의지해 수없이 많은 시행착오를 반복해야 했다.

물론 직쏘퍼즐의 기본은 직선코스, 즉 변을 먼저 맞추는 것.
이 것은 초등학교를 나온 사람이라면 누구나 직관적으로 알 수 있는 제1원칙일 듯.

그리고 원본 사진의 형태에 의지해 부분부분 최선의 조합을 찾는다.
물론 사이사이 힌트가 전혀 없는 것은 아니다.
귀걸이나, 단추 등 색깔이나 모양이 확연히 다른 대목이 존재한다.

거의 완성 단계에 이르른 모습.
여기까지 걸린 시간이 얼마일까.
대략 10시간 가까이
아니 한 동안은 두 사람이 달라붙었기 때문에 그 이상일 수도 있겠다.

이 후에는 풀을 발라 고정시키고, 액자에 싸서 벽에 걸어 놓는다.
예상보다 훨씬 더 근사한 작품에 입을 다물지 못하다.

이래서 직쏘퍼즐 매니아들이 존재하는 구나?

한줄결론 :  DIY 3탄이었음
